Postcards from Havana’s Central Park and Surroundings

HAVANA TIMES – The Central Park of Havana, as its name indicates, is located in the very heart of the capital city. It serves as a limit between the municipalities of Old Havana and Centro Habana and a few meters from the Capitolio building.
It is bordered by the famous Paseo del Prado, and in front of it is the Grand Theater of Havana. It is surrounded by the Inglaterra, Telegraph, Central Park, Plaza and Kempisky hotels, in addition to the National Museum of Fine Arts.
Distinguished by its palm trees and streetlamps, it exhibits in its geometric center a statue of national hero Jose Marti.
In the pictures we show you can see old cars and carriages waiting to be rented by a tourist, a bus also destined for tourism, and locals who give the park life every day sitting down to talk. Few people visiting the capital, both foreigners and Cubans, leave without taking a stroll in Central Park.
