HAVANA TIMES, May 4 — Cuba will commemorate for the third consecutive year International Day against Homophobia with activities next May 11-18, announced Mariela Castro, director of the National Centre for Sex Education (CENESEX). On this occasion the main ceremony will be held in El Mejunje, a cultural institution in the city of Santa Clara, some 260 kilometers east of the island’s capital, where a space for sexual diversity was opened in the 1990s, reported IPS.
