Cuba Far Off the Path of TS Edouard

HAVANA TIMES — Tropical Strom Edouard is currently churning in the open Atlantic far from the Caribbean. Its path northwest will keep it far from a landing and poses no threat to Cuba.

Edouard is currently packing maximum sustained winds of 60 mph (95 kph) and the Cuban weather service expects it to become a hurricane some time on Sunday when it exceeds 73 mph.

The center of the storm is moving northwest at a speed of 13 mph (20 kph).
