Cuban Parliamentary Commissions Conclude Their Discussions Today
HAVANA TIMES, Dec 21 — Standing committees of the Cuba’s National Assembly of Popular Power (parliament) is concluding discussions today around the plan for the country’s economy and the state budget law for 2012.
Meeting at the Havana Convention Center, the body of almost 400 lawmakers analyzed recent decree-laws approved for the government’s new initiatives to revive the national economy, identified the projections for next year, and discussed issues of interest to citizens, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
On Thursday morning, the legislators are expected to conclude with reports provided by governmental institutions, which this occuring prior to the eighth regular session of the National Assembly on December 23.
