Cuban VP in Rome for Food Summit
HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 16 – Ulises Rosales del Toro, one of Cuba’s Vice Presidents of the Council of Ministers, is in Rome, Italy for the World Food Summit that runs from Monday through Wednesday, reported the local press.
The Summit, sponsored by the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), will address such crucial matters as world hunger and food insecurity faced by a large segment of humanity. Numerous heads of state and high level delegations are attending.
High food prices, the effects of climate change, including prolonged draught in many African countries, are among the challenges facing the leaders.
