Cuba’s Long Distance Rates Drop

HAVANA TIMES, Aug. 18 – The Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) has reduced its international call rates through December 15 by over 40 percent, informed that Cuban-Italian company.

With a large ex-pat population and millions of Cubans with family members abroad, the news of the continued rate drop, which actually began in June, was well received by everyone.

Under the promotion all calls will now cost US $1.00 per minute compared to the previous US $1.80 to the United States and $3.80 to Spain, the two countries with the most Cuban immigrants.
