El Salvador Plans More Trade with Cuba
HAVANA TIMES, March 30 — An agreement aimed at facilitating trade between El Salvador and Cuba was approved Thursday by the legislature of that Central American nation.
Known as the “Partial Scope Agreement between El Salvador and Cuba,” the accord will reduce tariffs on bilateral trade involving 433 Salvadoran products and 618 Cuban ones, reported the dpa news agency.
The move will signify a 60 percent reduction in tariffs that each country will apply on their mutual international trade.
A total of 61 of the 84 deputies in the El Salvadorian parliament approved the deal.
