HAVANA TIMES, March 27 – The 10th Havana Biennial begins five weeks of art exhibitions and related activities on Friday at numerous venues in the Cuban capital. The main headquarters of the Biennial is the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress where composer and recording artist X Alfonso will give an opening night concert.

Besides the sprawling main venue overlooking Havana Bay, the international feast of visual arts includes numerous installations at museums and art galleries especially in Old Havana and the centrally located Vedado District.

Havana times will be running a series of articles on the Biennial and will bring you an ample photography gallery of many of the exhibits.
