HAVANA TIMES, August 17 – It will be very hot throughout the whole period, even at dawn.  Isolated rains are expected to occur on Friday (August 19) associated with the interaction with the tropical wave located in the center of the Caribbean Sea.

Maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 31°C (88°F) and 32°C (90°F), while the minimum temperatures will be between 24°C (75°F) and 25°C (77°F).

The wind will be from the east-northeast direction, reaching speeds of between 15 km/h (9 mph) and 25 km/h (15 mph).

The sea surface temperature will be 30°C (86°F).

A tropical wave that is causing rain in the center of the Caribbean Sea is moving to the west at a speed of approximately 23 km/h (14 mph).  It is hoped that conditions over next few days will not bring about its development.  At any rate, it does not represent a danger to Cuba.

The rest of the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico is not expected to see tropical cyclonal development in the next 24 at 48 hours.
