No particularly outstanding meteorological system on the synoptic scale will govern the weather during this coming time period. Consequently we will have some heat and partially cloudy skies in the afternoons, but nothing significant in terms of precipitation.

Maximum temperatures will fluctuate around 32°C (90°F), while minimum temperatures will be close to 24°C (75°F).

Winds will be weak from the east-southeast.

The sea surface temperature will be 30°C (86°F).

Models of storm paths and intensity indicate that tropical storm Ophelia will not represent a danger to Cuba.

No tropical cyclonal development is expected in the rest of the Caribbean Sea or the Gulf of Mexico over the next 24 to 48 hours.
