HIV Diagnostic device going Cuba-wide

HAVANA TIMES, Jan. 2 – The Ultra Micro Analytic System (SUMA) will be put at the disposition of all the municipalities in Cuba in 2010, announced José Luis Hernández Yero, director of the Immunoassay Center. That technology, created in the island, is used in diagnosing the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV, which causes AIDS), hepatitis B and metabolic diseases in newborns, reported IPS.
