Hurricane Richard Now a Depression

HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 25 — Hurricane Richard has weakened to a Tropical Depression as it moves inland over northeastern Guatemala towards southeastern Mexico on route to the Gulf of Mexico.

The storm reached land in Belize on Sunday where it blew off roofs and caused other damage but no deaths or injuries were reported, noted the BBC.

The Cuban Meteorological Institute issued its 17th and last advisory on the weather system at midnight Sunday.

The storm did not pose a threat to Cuba in its passing through the western Caribbean.
