M. Castro: Gay Pride Parade Not Yet

HAVANA TIMES, July 7 – There “could be a gay pride parade” in Cuba when the still prevalent homophobia in the island changes, said Mariela Castro, an activist for the rights of sexual diversity, in statements to the BBC.

According to Castro, director of the National Center for Sex Education (CENESEX), the strategy of the island’s authorities in that sense is to educate the population and not “imitate formulas from other places,” notes IPS.
