Miami Conference on the Cuban Five

HAVANA TIMES, Dec. 6 — Cuban organizations in Miami held a conference yesterday to clarify the status of the Cuban Five convicted in the United States.

Participants were informed that the appeals in the cases of Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez are still awaiting responses from the prosecution, which should have occurred by November 21 but were extended by that office.

The limited action by the US Congress on issues related to relations between Washington and Havana was also of concern for members of the coalition of activists, reported Prensa Latina.
