New Cuba – Martinique Air Route
HAVANA TIMES — A new weekly direct flight between the eastern Caribbean island of Martinique and Cuba was opened on Thursday, which will be “an excellent opportunity” to develop multi-destination travel within the Caribbean, said a statement from the Ministry of Tourism.
The weekly flight will use a recently acquired AN-158 aircraft that can serve up to 85 passengers.
Cuban Airlines, several entities of the Tourism system and the French Embassy in Cuba are committed to making the flight a success, noted the Cuban News Agency.
Cuba received 2.85 million tourists in 2013, and expects to host over 3.15 million in 2014.
