New Hall for Photo Exhibits in Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — A new photographic exhibition hall, equipped with seven high-resolution digital displays, will open in Old Havana on January 24, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
Sponsored by the “Diversity Forum” in Seville, Spain, the initiative has an innovative design whereby the screens will work simultaneously and will adjust the sound to the theme of the exhibit.
“Cuba en el Corredor del Caribe” (Cuba in the Caribbean Corridor), by photographer and researcher Nicasio Viña, will be the opening work in the exhibition space. It consists of 300 images of the flora and fauna of the island and of other countries in the region.
The “Diversity Room,” located at the headquarters of the “Heritage, Community and Environment Society,” is also sponsored by the Havana Historian’s Office and Cuba’s National Council of Scientific Societies.
