New Jersey Diocese to Pay $87.5 Million to Settle Sexual Abuse Claims

HAVANA TIMES – A Catholic diocese in southern New Jersey has agreed to pay $87.5 million to settle hundreds of sexual abuse claims dating back to the 1950s. The settlement comes three years after the Diocese of Camden, New Jersey, acknowledged that 56 of its priests and one deacon had been credibly accused of sexual abuse.
