New Photo Book of Fidel Castro

HAVANA TIMES — At this year’s Havana International Book Fair, the Bologna Publishing House will present a new collection of photographs taken of former Cuban President Fidel Castro over the past six decades of his life, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The book, entitled Fidel, reproduces photographs by Osvaldo and Roberto Salas, Pablo Caballero, Alex Castro, and the recently deceased Liborio Noval, in addition to including assessments by  Cuban intellectuals Armando Hart, City Historian Eusebio Leal and Colombian writer Gabriel García Marquez.

Although the main site of the event is the Fotaleza de la Cabaña, on the other side of Havana Bay, the publishing house of the Historian’s Office will make its presentations on the wooded street of the Plaza de Armas in Old Havana.
