HAVANA TIMES, April 27 —Orlando Bosch, who dedicated his life over the last half century to the violent overthrow of the Cuban government, died in Miami on Wednesday at the age of 84. He was born in Cuba on August 18, 1926, five days after Fidel Castro.
Along with Luis Posada Carriles, Bosch is credited with the 1976 bombing of a Cuban passenger plane that took the life of 73 persons off the coast of Barbados. In conversations with Venezuelan journalist Alicia Herrera while in prison awaiting trial, Bosch made the famous confession: “Pusimos la bomba ¿y que? (We planted the bomb… and so what?).
