HAVANA TIMES, Jan 12 — The symphony “Muerte y Renacimiento” (Death and Rebirth) will premiere on April 19 in Amiens, France, in homage to the Argentine-Cuban guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara. The concert is taking place under the auspices of “Cuba Si” (France).
According to a Prensa Latina report from Paris, the musical work was authored by Julio Cesar Pardo. For its world premiere, an invitation was made to Jean Cornier, who has written several books of the famous guerrilla and will release a new one in September.
The symphony will later be presented on other French stages and is expected to come to Cuba in October, said Charlie Bouhana, the president of the sponsoring organization. He added that there will also be a CD produced, with it proceeds to be donated to the island.
