US Army Officer Resigns over “Enabling and Empowering the Killing and Starvation of Palestinians”

By Democracy Now

HAVANA TIMES – A US Army officer working at the Defense Intelligence Agency has resigned to protest what he called the United States’ “unqualified support” for Israel’s war on Gaza. Major Harrison Mann wrote in a post online that the U.S. has “enabled and empowered the killing and starvation of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians.” He went on to write, “As the descendant of European Jews, I was raised in a particularly unforgiving moral environment when it came to the topic of bearing responsibility for ethnic cleansing.”

  • Personally, I don’t believe two wrongs make a right. Hats off to this courageous officer willing to give up his career for a moral duty to condemn what the Israeli army with US weapons is doing in Gaza. John Bohannon apparently supports the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians since the Israel government continues to cry victim. Don’t expect Hamas or the Palestinians as a whole are going to surrender to the Israeli occupation army.

  • War is worse than Hell, there are no innocent by standers in Hell. Israel is at war with Hamas, Hamas drew first blood when they attacked, killed, raped, beheaded, and tortured to death 1,200 innocent people at a concert. then they attacked small villages where they looted and even put an infant in an oven and lit the flame. Now they are crying victim. Hamas will be destoyed even as they hide behind their children, using the women and children as shields. Gaza’s only hope of survival is to surrender. Giving up the hostages and unconditionally surrendering. Israel will not stop until that happens.
