No significant changes

HAVANA TIMES — We are in for a period of typical summer weather. The days will be hot and become cloudy in the mid-afternoons, with showers or storms occurring due to daytime heating and the influence of sea breezes. This rain will be most likely on Saturday with the passing of a wave of tropical air currents.

Tropical Storm Ernesto, which at 6:00 a.m. today was located 144 km (78 nm) south-southeast of Campeche, is maintaining its westward away from Cuba. Given this movement, it clearly poses no danger to the island.

No other cyclonic system is expected to develop in the rest of the area within the next 48 hours.

Maximum temperatures will be stable at around 32°C (90°F) and minimum temperatures will dip to around 25°C (77°F).

The winds will be weak and predominantly from the east.

The sea surface temperature will reach 29°C (84°F).
