World Cup Opens, Cuba Plays Sunday
HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 2 — Team Cuba begins its quest to return to the top of World Amateur Baseball when it plays its first game Sunday afternoon – against Australia – in the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) World Cup 2011 that opened last night in Panama.
The tournament kicked off on Saturday with host Panama defeating Greece 8-3. Sixteen teams will compete in two groups.

Panama City, Panama. The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) is pleased to announce that for the first time ever, baseball fans around the world can now watch over 50 games of the 2011 IBAF Baseball World Cup LIVE online via www.liveibaf.tv.
Fans can sign up to a number of subscription packages ranging from daily passes available at $15 to whole tournament passes available at $40 and access live matches, with high quality streaming, reliable content and match commentary.
The 2011 IBAF Baseball World Cup will be held from October 1 to 15 in Panama with 16 teams participating.
