HAVANA TIMES, July 19 — Is the moon the quintessential place of dreams? I imagine it is, otherwise we wouldn’t use the phrase “you must be on the moon” so much when referring to someone who has their mind on something beyond what’s supposedly this reality.

It’s a preferred place by romantics and dreamers. The moon is desired by some, enigmatic for others, and a source of inspiration, investigation and legends.

Fortunately, no matter how many astronauts are able to get there, the moon is such that it doesn’t have the ideal atmosphere for humans to head off to live there en masse.

What’s also fortunate is that from almost any place on the planet we can observe it, so if in a future someone ended up naming themselves its absolute owner, they couldn’t prevent us from continuing to observe it, sighing before its presence.
