Paintings in Havana by Cuban 5 Prisoner

Fotofeature by Elio Delgado

HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 28 — Antonio Guerrero has a painting exhibition of birds currently showing at the Pabellon Cuba facility on busy 23rd St. in the Vedado District of Havana. Guerrero could not attend the showing as he has been imprisoned for over 12 years in the United States, along with four other members of the Cuban Five, convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage and other charges.

The watercolors are of the national birds of countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Widely considered heroes on the island, the Cuban Five had infiltrated violence-prone exile organizations based in Miami with a track record of terrorist plots against Cuba and its interests abroad.
