Expo Tattoo: An Experience of Art and Culture

HAVANA TIMES – The Lienzo Vivo project, an initiative that celebrates the fusion of tattoo art and cultural expression, hosted an event in Havana on November 2, that brought together national and international artists, as well as tattoo enthusiasts. This event stood out not only for the quality of the tattoos but also for its focus on community and the connection between different artistic styles.

The event provided an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of tattoos, ranging from the most traditional to the most innovative. The artists present shared their knowledge and techniques, performing live tattooing and offering talks on the cultural significance and evolution of tattoos in modern society. It was a space to learn and admire how this body art has transformed into a legitimate form of artistic expression.

The event featured a specialized jury that evaluated all the tattoos presented in various categories, awarding prizes and honors to the most outstanding artists. In addition to tattoos, there were parallel activities such as live music, sales of tattoo inks and other products for those dedicated to this art, as well as interactive workshops. Those present  could immerse themselves in a unique sensory experience, surrounded by creativity, art, and the vibrant energy of the tattooing community.

The Lienzo Vivo project not only promotes tattooing as an art form but also creates a platform for integrating different cultures, styles, and traditions, providing an inclusive space for all lovers of body art. It leaves a lasting impression on participants and all those present, solidifying Lienzo Vivo as a benchmark in the world of contemporary tattooing.
