Reuters Investigation Reveals Israeli Tank Killed Journalist Issam Abdallah and Injured 6 Others

HAVANA TIMES – In Lebanon, a Reuters investigation has revealed an Israeli tank crew killed one of its journalists and wounded six other reporters on October 13 by firing two shells in quick succession from Israel while the journalists were live-streaming cross-border shelling. The attack killed Reuters videographer Issam Abdallah and injured six others, including Agence France-Presse reporter Christina Assi. Reuters has condemned the killing and is demanding that Israel explain its actions.

  • According to the Israeli army journalists should only be able to enter Gaza with them for a couple hours and see only what they want them to see. The brave journalists who are on the scene in Lebanon or especially Gaza either full time, or for long periods, give us the other side of the humanitarian crisis the Israeli army is not interested in showing. And yes, that work is very dangerous since the Israeli army would prefer they were all dead.
