Little Red Riding Hood Cuban Style

HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 4 – Up until September 13, kids and adults can continue enjoying the children’s work “La Caperucita Roja” (Little Red Riding Hood) at the Hubert de Blanck Theater in Havana’s Vedado district.  Performances are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Based on the work by Brazilian writer María Clara Machado – and staged by Luis Brunet, who is also its artistic director – the play was re-opened on August 8 with great public acclaim and a cast of outstanding actors.  Songs by Marta Valdés, choreography by Iraida Malberti, scenery and wardrobe design by Rogelio Díaz Costs, and Juan Marcos Blanco’s special effects are united in this Creole version of a universal classic of children’s literature.
