The Fifth “Magic with Cards” event in Havana.

HAVANA TIMES, June 22 — The Fifth Magic with Cards (Cartomagia) event took place in the Cuban capital from June 8-11 with magicians from around the country participating.

The program included shows for children and special presentations for the elderly, which were held in senior citizens’ homes, health care institutions and workplaces.

Also featured were magic with cards competitions among younger and master magicians alike, as well as a variety show at the Old Havana Cultural Center.

The event was sponsored by the Havana Historian’s Office, the Old Havana Municipal Administrative Council, cultural leadership in that same municipality and the Young Communist League.
