Cuban Woman Promoted to International Weightlifting Referee

HAVANA TIMES — Cuban Inalvis Ramirez has just been designated as an international weightlifting referee, announced the Cuban Information Agency on Thursday.

National commissioner Rafael Pacho said this is the first time a woman from the island has been promoted to that high-ranking position by the International Weightlifting Federation.

Ramirez is a university graduate and a methodologist of physical culture.
