HT Cuba Photo Contest 2011 Winners

One thing is clear about the HT Cuba photo contests is that each year the selection process is going to get harder with the increasing competition. The First Prize winners are: Michelle Rankin, Byron Montley, Sergio Leyva & Alexis Trigoura. (See the Winning Photos)

HT-Cuba Photo Contest Finalists Revealed

The finalists for the 3rd HT Cuba Photo Contest include at least one picture from 24 of the 40 persons who submitted their work. To tabulate the winners, 10 points was given to each first place selection, 5 to second and 3 to third. The winners will be announced on Friday August 5th. (52 photos)

HT-Cuba Photo Contest Semifinalists

The jury for the 3rd HT Cuba photo contest concluded its selection process over the weekend. A total of 19 jury members sent in their picks from eight countries. Forty photographers participated with prizes being awarded to first and second place in each category plus a special mention. (104 photos)

An Afternoon with Kelvis Ochoa & Descemer Bueno

The two composers and singers, united by years of friendship, interacted with a mostly young audience well versed in their songs. In addition to singing their older hits, they premiered the song “Siete dias,” composed by the two of them for a movie. (11 photos)
