Guatemala’s Attorney General Demands Crackdown on Pro-Democracy Protesters

Riot police clashed with protesters Monday as nationwide demonstrations grow, demanding the resignation of Guatemala’s attorney general.

Lopez Obrador said he invited the leaders of countries of origin and transit of migrants in the continent but omitted Nicaragua.

In addition, Mexico will negotiate with the Government of Daniel Ortega to receive flights of migrants deported from the United States.

The six men, who were all Colombian, were being detained in the city of Guayaquil after their arrest two months ago.
