It’s a massive, although minority, phenomenon in several European countries, and one with which I frankly don’t agree with, & in fact reject.

Nicaragua ended 2021 with a cancer forged over hundreds of years, but finally detected as having metastasized throughout society.

Citizens in exile call on organizations inside & outside the country to participate in the Congress of Unity of Free Nicaraguans this Sunday.

The political prisoners continue to lose weight. Several are in solitary confinement. Relatives demand regular visits & to introduce blankets.

Her mother demands an end to the isolation her daughter and three other prisoners suffer, & the release of all of Ortega’s political prisoners.

With the uptick in repression & selective detentions, at least 35,000 Nicaraguans sought asylum since June in neighboring Costa Rica.

Cubans can now enter Nicaragua without a visa and many islanders have opted to fly directly to Managua, as a safer route towards the USA.

The political prisoner has spent 200 days in an isolation cell in the infamous El Chipote jail. Her mother asks to see her daughter.

Nicaraguans exiled in Costa Rica denounce the state-sanctioned violence back home and the backsliding of most people’s rights there.
