Carromero Could Arrive in Madrid in the “Coming Hours”

HAVANA TIMES — Angel Carromero, the young Spanish politician convicted of negligent homicide and sentenced to four years in prison, could arrive in Madrid-Barajas from Cuba “in the coming hours,” reports Europa Press.

Sources close to the deputy secretary of New Generations youth organization of the governing Partido Popular (PP) in Madrid have stated that the original intention was to get Carromero to Madrid for Christmas Eve or Christmas, but that was not possible and his return was delayed.

The youth leader could serve his sentence in Spain without incarceration if he is granted a special prison sentence. Having been sentenced to less than five years, he could receive this classification, explained the news note.
