Castro assumes heat for repressing gays

HAVANA TIMES, Aug. 31 – Former Cuban President Fidel Castro assumed the responsibility for the marginalization against homosexuals in the 1960s, although he affirmed he doesn’t have “that type of prejudice,” in statements published Tuesday by Mexico’s La Jornada daily.  Castro justified that “great injustice” with the fact that he was involved in other political questions, such as the Missile Crisis, reported IPS.

  • It was a big, unsocialist mistake — which gave imperialist propagandists endless ammunition. And the cuban state STILL behaves heavy-handedly towards ‘different’ people in a socialist state which has a very hard time actually being socialist.

It doesn’t take a lot of material resources to change such pathological praxis. Why not start making changes here — instead of allowing the capitalist wedge of golf courses and condominiums to ‘change’ (subvert) Cuba definitely for the worse..?
