Cuba Asks to Reactivate Case of Cuban 5

HAVANA TIMES, Mar. 11 – The Cuban government asked the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) to reactivate the case of the five Cubans imprisoned in the United States charged with espionage, whose detention was questioned by the Working Group on Arbitrary Arrests in 2005, reported IPS.

Known internationally as the Cuban Five, the men have been in US prisons since Sept. 1998, after a politically charged trial in Miami, Florida.
