Cuba to Send More Doctors to Venezuela

HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 19 – More than 1,100 doctors and health technicians from Cuba will travel to Venezuela to back the Barrio Adentro neighborhood and community health program, a pillar of the government of Hugo Chavez to guarantee medical care for the low-income population, reported IPS.  It is estimated that around 40,000 Cubans are working in the South American country, especially in its social programs.

  • This in my opinion is a call to service, and one of the reasons my aunt believes that Cuba remains blessed. The creator no matter what name you call him/her by..Asks all of us to sacrifice..To who much is given much is required
    We have a doctors, lawyers nurses engineers etc in the Villamil family who has answered this call on numerous occassions..
    In america there is an adage that we all have heard and really believe it should apply to Cuba as well
