Cuban Soccer Team Wins Caribbean Cup

HAVANA TIMES — The Cuban soccer team came in first place in the Caribbean Football Cup on Sunday by beating Trinidad and Tobago 1-0, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

With this anxiously awaited victory, Cuba goes down in the records as one of the winners of the competition that was first organized in 1989.

Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago (second place), Haiti (third place) and Martinique (fourth) have now secured spots for the 2013 Gold Cup of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Football, which will be held in the United States.
