Cubans that Want To Be Spanish

HAVANA TIMES, August 10 – A total of 24,335 Cubans have formally solicited Spanish citizenship at the European country’s embassy in Havana.

Spain’s “Historic Memory Law” offers Spanish nationality to the grandchildren of that country’s emigrants.

To date 165,000 Cubans have requested a date to deliver documents and begin the paperwork involved, reported IPS.
