EU Urges Cuba to Continue Freeing Prisoners

HAVANA TIMES, March 24 — The High Representative of the European Union (EU) for foreign affairs, Catherine Ashton, urged the Cuban government to continue with the releases of political prisoners, after the last two dissidents of the group of 75, in prison since 2003, were set free. Ashton also recognized the role of the Catholic Church and Spain in the negotiations that led to this process, reported IPS.
