HAVANA TIMES – A musical about El Caballero de Paris, a legendary figure who walked the streets of the Cuban capital, opens on January 17 at the Karl Marx Theater, reported Prensa Latina.

“El Caballero de Paris, the musical” is the title of the work. It includes 10 compositions from Cuban songwriters Kelvis Ochoa and Descemer Bueno, with equal numbers of choreography, mostly traditional island dances, created by choreographer Eduardo Blanco.

The piece recreates some significant moments in the life of that delirious street personality, from the dream of a child who approaches his bronze statue, located in the Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, in the historic center of Havana.

After its premiere, the show will run for two weekends at the newly restored room Miramar Theater on the west side of the capital.
