International Wrestling Tournament Ends Today in Havana

HAVANA TIMES, Feb 15 — The Granma-Cerro Pelado International Wrestling Tournament will end its 43 edition here today with competitions in the of 60, 74, 84, 96 and 120 kg men’s freestyle weight categories, reported Prensa Latina.

The US athletes Henry Cejudo (60 kg) and Jordan Burroughs (74 kg) are among the main opponents that the Cubans have good prospects for defeating, while in the 84 and 96 kilo categories the visitors appear more formidable.

So far in the competition, Cuba has achieved a clean sweep in the Greco style rounds and won the first two crowns in the men’s freestyle contests, while Canada completely dominated the women’s freestyle competitions.
