Irregularities Endanger Sugar Harvest

HAVANA TIMES, March 4 — The lack of sugarcane and the irregularities in the yield of the sugar mills could do away with the plans of the Cuban authorities for the current harvest, the island’s state-run press warned today. The results in 2010 of the former flourishing sugar industry were the worse in more than a century, noted IPS.
