Ladies in White ask EU to maintain common position

HAVANA TIMES, March 22 – Ladies in White, a group of wives and relatives of Cuban political prisoners, asked Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos to reconsider his plan to change the current policy of the European Union (EU) toward Cuba, which since 1996 has been governed by the common position that demands changes in the island for the normalization of bilateral relations, said Blanca Reyes, the group’s spokeswoman, reported IPS.
