Latin America Photography Week Kicks off Today in Havana

HAVANA TIMES, April 9 — During this third annual Latin America Photography Week, exhibitions were put on display presenting various formal and thematic approaches to the universe of photography today, reports the Prensa Latina news agency.

Photos from Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Japan, the United States and Cuba can be enjoyed until April 15 in nearly a dozen exhibitions with widely varying techniques that take the human body as their focus.

The inauguration of this week of displays, organized by the Office of the City Historian of Havana, coincided with the opening of another group show – “The Seduction of the Gaze: An Excursion Through Nearly a Century of Photographic Nudes in Cuba.”
