HAVANA TIMES, April 11 — The Spanish troubadour Luis Eduardo Aute will become part of the fiction jury for the Tenth International Gibara Festival of Low-Budget Cinema, which will begin in that eastern Cuban fishing town on April 17.

The artist will also present his full length Un perro llamado dolor, an animated film from 2001 made with pencil drawings by Aute and a soundtrack with original songs by himself and Cuban singer Silvio Rodriguez.

This edition of the festival — founded in 2003 by the late Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solas to promote low-budget cinema — is featuring 110 works in the competition and will run until the 22nd of this month.
