HAVANA TIMES — Mariela Castro, the director of Cuba’s Center for Sex Education (CENESEX), plans to meet with members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the US next Wednesday, reported AFP.

During her visit to the United States, Castro will participate in an evening meeting organized by the San Francisco LGBT Center and the next day will lead a panel discussion organized by the Association of Latin American Studies.

Castro will also give a lecture at the San Francisco General Hospital on the island’s policy toward transsexuals, said Gloria La Riva, coordinator for the US Committee to Free the Cuban Five.
