New Disc Tribute to Compay Segundo

HAVANA TIMES – The top twenty songs of the famous Cuban musician Francisco Repilado forms the new album “Guantanamera. The essential album “, published by the label Rhino, of Warner Music, reported Prensa Latina.

The album has sold over three million copies worldwide, and includes celebrity artists of Cuban music as Omara Portuondo, Ruben Gonzalez, Ibrahim Ferrer and Eliades Ochoa.

The compilation of hits like “Chan Chan”, “Macusa” and “Guantanamera”, make up the tribute to Compay Segundo, ten years after his death.

Compay Segundo gained international renown thanks to Buena Vista Social Club album, which won a Grammy in 1997, and remained active until his death, at age 95.
