HAVANA TIMES — The 23rd US-Cuba Pastors for Peace Friendship Caravan will arrive on the island on July 21, said Joel Suarez, the coordinator of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Center.

Speaking on Tuesday to the Prensa Latina news agency, Suarez noted that after touring 80 cities in the US, activists from that country along with citizens from Germany, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom will be bringing humanitarian aid to Cuba that consists primarily of health care and educational materials.

According to the Pastors for Peace website, the caravan of 17 buses traveled across the US for that purpose.

The Caravan, founded in 1992 by Reverend Lucius Walker, is an organization of “solid Christian and evangelical inspiration, although it includes other people of good will, regardless of their religious beliefs,” added Suarez.
