Protein Products for Havanans Sept. 15-21

HAVANA TIMES – We present the list of rationed protein products that can be purchased by Havana residents with their supply booklets in their neighborhood stores during the week of September 15 to 21. The portions are distributed by month on a rotation basis in the 15 municipalities of the capital.

CHICKEN (1 lb consumer of 14 years and medical diets): Complete distribution in Guanabacoa and Cotorro. Distribute in Playa, Cerro, and Diez de Octubre.

FLAVORED HASH (½ pound per consumer): Distribute in Arroyo Naranjo and being in Plaza.

MORTADELLA (½ pound per consumer): Complete distribution in Habana del Este; Distribute in La Lisa and Cotorro.

GROUND BEEF (for people under 14): Complete distribution in Cerro; distribute in Habana Vieja, San Miguel and Centro Habana. Start distribution in Marianao.

EGGS (5 per consumer and medical allowances): Complete distribution in Boyeros; Distribute in Playa, Marianao, Arroyo Naranjo, La Lisa, and Cerro.

CHICKEN for FISH (11 ounces per consumer; and canned fish for special diets canned 4 cans for 1.70 pesos per diet and fresh fish for special diets for children aged 0-18 years): Complete distribution in Boyeros and Habana del Este; distribute in Marianao, Centro Habana, San Miguel and Guanabacoa.

Distribution starts of the third monthly portion of drink mix (½Kg).

During September Havana residents also receive a quota of 7 pounds of rice, 10 ounces of grains (including beans and peas), 3 pounds of white sugar and 1 pound of brown sugar, 13 boxes of sauce, ½ pound of oil, 4 ounces coffee (for over 7 years), and salt according to the number of household members.
